About Us

Who's P?

P is a fun-loving and funky girl who likes the sun, sand and the sea. She loves to eat things that are spicy but will always end up perspiring and crying into the bowl of hot spicy soup. Her favorite cuisines are Japanese, Thai and German. Her favourite foods are Salmon Sashimi, Curry Katsu Don and a huge variety of sushi, Tom Yam soup and Bratwurst und Curry Wurst. Hangouts that you might be able to spot her at are Causeway Point's Sakae Sushi and Wisma Atria's Republic Food Court, NUS' Lerk Thai outlet and this stall in Chinatown run by a rather grumpy and odd Austrian man.. wahahaha... ;)

Who's E?

E also loves fun. As long as its fun. She doesn't like the sun, sometimes likes the sand and sea. She loves to eat spicy things depending on her mood. Will also end up crying and perspiring after the chili has gone in. She has food cravings periodically. No, she's not pregnant. Prefers plain water with everything because all other drinks will make her burping worse. She loves Japanese cuisine and the different kinds food. Actually, she just loves food! All kinds of food as long as they are not expired, don't taste funny and don't make her sick. Beeeef Jeerrrkyyyy!!! Oh and one of her food goals in life is to drink milk fresh from a cow. And she calls milk cow juice. Cheers!

What a feast we had today! Tonight rather. At Jack's Place - Seafood Harvest.

We took some pictures, P and I.

That would be P. We were taking pictures of each other while waiting for the food to arrive. My photo is in her mobile. :P

Table setting and a small view of the place from where P was seated.

Finally! My Boston Clam Chowder!!! Delicious! Creamy and full of goodies inside. I did add a dash of pepper and salt to it. Enhanced the flavour. Haha.

Erm, I think was Caeser Salad with Smoked Salmon? Delicious no matter what the name is. I absolutely love smoked salmon! Mmmhhh...taste the slight smoky saltish salmon with lettuce and salad dressing just makes you feel selfish! ( We shared all we ordered)

Guess what?

Our Seafood Platter!!! Looks like alot. We were exclaiming too much!! Still, we ate every single thing. The waiter kept checking on us. Lol. Amazed at our stomachs?

This was what was on my plate. There was baked pasta with fish on the top...Tasted very crispy and the cheese helped alot! However, the paste underneath was a little bland for me. There were fresh oysters, mussels, fresh prawns, baked scallops, baked prawns, baked crab sticks, fish and chips with calamari and prawns. Oh, not to forget, some lettuce leaves. I felt that the prawns were in great supply, because fresh prawns, baked prawns and fried prawns? Do the math. Lol.

Finally, dessert! Ice-cream with brownie! The brownie was warm inside...and oh so chocolatey! Vanilla ice-cream is one of my favourites. So a rather lethal combination I'd say.

So you see a happy P there? Yep, that's her. We've come to the end of this feasting round. Hope to see you again!

* I know its a little short but I'm so worn out from digesting all the food!
** Sorry people, I accidently deleted the photos meant for my Sichuan bowl noodles. So uh, no need to wait for photos anymore. Oops.

E, u like hot and spicy Sichuan soup?? Ohhh.. You should try the Sichuan La Mian at the Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao!! It's super nice!! Then again, I'm proud that u managed to find Sichuan instant noodles! I'll try it soon! Is it available else where other than NUS Co-op? And frankly, I can't believe you typed the name of the instant noodles in chinese!! Upload photos soon k!

Btw, I think you have a cute face.. no food involved pls. :D Nono.. you are white chick face and I'm black chicken face.. how about that! Hahaha..

Anyway, I'm totally addicted to the Myojo Mee Soto instant noodles in the bowl... Have you tasted it?

Man, it's sooo tasty and the soup's really as good as the original thing. Well, it has those kind of dried vegetables inside. It also satisfies hunger pretty well. The soup's not too spicy too... Just remember to add the seasoning according to how spicy you would like it! :) Did I tell you that my Mauritian friend tried it and liked it too? :D Hee.. So thanks for recommending it to me ya, E!

So where are we heading on Wednesday? You can decide on the place k! But choose something that is... mmm... affordable. Don't take me to a restaurant that I'll most prob end up washing the dishes after our meal!! :D LOL!! Can't wait!

I like the hot and spicy Sichuan soup. Mmmhh...and now! I've found theSichuan noodles in a bowl! Congratulate me! haha.

I found it at the NUS Co-op at Science. It says on the bowl, 正宗四川名小吃,正宗酸辣味/麻辣牛肉味. In english, it says, 'Spicy Beef Flavour/Original Hot & Sour Flavour(Instant Sweet Potato Noodle)". I bought those 2 to try. I like beef. Yum yum. The most worth eating red meat I would say. Actually, I like all kinds of meat, just not mutton and sometimes pork. Favourite is beef :D
Ok, back to my Sichuan noodles. I'm unable to upload my photos now, will do so when home. I shall eat one now I think. Although its way past lunch time. Lol. Oh greedy me. I told my colleague that I'm breadface, then a few days later I told her I'm mushroom face. She was wondering how can I be 2 faced? HAHA! I admit, I'm not only bread face I'm mushroom face, actually, I'm totally food face.

I shall savour the noodles now...wait for the photos people!

Finally back here blogging after such a longgg time! I've been really busy these days! But never too busy to take a snapshot of the instant foods that are so part of my life these days! Seriously, there are getting more and more interesting instant foods around... no more are they just limited to instant noodles and instant 3 in 1 drinks! There's so much more! Was just telling my bf that I can probably cook a full course meal with all instant foods! It's true!!

Anyway, here's my new discovery of the week! :D

Myojo Instant Duck Porridge!!

Photobucket

Okie.. Firstly, I think I'm a sua-gu (mountain tortise) cos I really didn't know there's such a thing called instant porridge in a cup. I know of the instant porridge that you have to cook over the stove and those are really yummy especially when you are sick and too lazy to cook up something proper to eat.

Anyway, I came across this instant porridge in a cup and was soooo thrilled by it! It's only 160 calories and basically low in fat BUT.. of cos.. high in sodium.. ;P And all you need to do is just add hot water! No need to mix seasoning (which reduces the hassle to find a pair of scissors) and a spoon is provided too!

The porridge really smells like the real deal which is soooo gd! I was soo excited to try it that I forgot to stir it properly and evenly for the first 1 minute! Did I tell you it only takes 1 minute to prepare? Hahaha..

The texture isn't as smooth as the original thing but good enough to satisfy that hunger for something to fill up the tummy. It even has tiny bits of duck meat!! Haha.. And has the fragrance of roasted duck... yum yum..

Well, like I said, it can satisfy hunger and smells and tastes like the real deal!

Give it a try! It's something different as compared to the twiggy yellow noodles in the cup!

Cheers,
P

p.s.: E, you need to start uploading photos for our blog whenever you try something new! Especially like Nissin Chilli Crab?! I've not eaten that before! Nice not?? :P
And i wanna go Dian Xiao Er for the next foodie outing... hee..

I know I can always count on P to update our food outings! Heh heh! I'm quite clueless when it comes to such things. I only know how to EAT!!!

So, I've tried recently, the Nissin Chilli Crab! Ho Ho! Looks hot but its not hot. HAHAHA! Imagine how happy I was! The Tom Yam is anytime spicer than Chilli Crab! (Sorry, no photos. You can take a walk down the supermarket aisle where they stock up on the instant noodles and start as long as you want.) Its covered with red card board which says N-I-S-S-I-N CHILLI CRAB. Ooh! The moment you see it....$_$

Haha..I'm being stupid there. O.O Did you see the new tagboard??? Ahh...superb! I could never manage a tagboard for my own blog. Pathetic. I don't really mind anyway.

So...Who's up for the next foodie outing!!!!???
